Proof of vaccination: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
The following questions only apply to our in-person Dance and Movement classes and private lessons, both at Place des Arts and Evergreen Cultural Centre.
My child was 11 at the start of their in-person dance and movement program but will be turning 12 between September 13, 2021 and January 31, 2022. Will I be required to provide proof of vaccination after my child turns 12?
Yes. Place des Arts will require parents to provide proof of vaccination as soon as their child(ren) receives their first dose of the vaccine. We will send out a reminder email to parents with instructions on how to provide proof of vaccination. Parents will need to confirm that they intend on vaccinating their child(ren) to be able to continue to participate in their in-person program.
If parents do not intend on vaccinating their child(ren), they will not be permitted to continue participating in their in-person class or private lesson after their child(ren) turns 12. We recommend moving to an online class or private lesson if one is offered and space is available. If you anticipate having to change your class or private lesson, please advise us as soon as possible by emailing email@example.com or by calling 604-664-1636 ext. 0. Requests to withdraw from a program, will be guided by our Withdrawal/Cancellation policy.
Do I need to provide proof of vaccination for a dance private lesson?
Yes. In the interest of the health and safety of our faculty and students, we are implementing a proof of vaccination policy for in-person private lessons for participants 12 years of age and up. If you are not vaccinated, we recommend moving to online private lessons. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 604-664-1636 to inquire about availability.
I’m a parent and want to sit in on my child’s dance class or lesson. Am I allowed?
