Jennifer Gillis – Tiny Musical Theatre, Acting Basics, Coquitlam Youth Theatre

Jennifer has been working professionally in the performing arts industry since the age of 8. She is an accomplished singer, actor and dancer with an extensive résumé in musical theatre, voice, dance, film and television, radio and TV commercials, and animated voice-over work. She is a graduate of Capilano University’s Musical Theatre Program and has performed all over the Lower Mainland.

Some of Jennifer's credits include being chosen by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber out of 10,000 women across Canada to be in his Top 10 in CBC TV’s Over the Rainbow. There, she had the opportunity to work with Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and also work with Broadway legend Kristin Chenoweth. Singularly representing BC, she was the Top 6 finalist.

On stage, some of Jennifer's favorite roles include Maria in West Side Story (Theatre Under the Stars), Ariel Moore in Footloose, Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical (Broken Wing Theatre), and Miss. Dorothy Brown in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Exit 22).

Jennifer is very grateful to have found her passion at a young age and for all of the opportunities to pursue what she deeply loves. She loves working with children and looks forward to inspiring each of her students to believe that they, too, can accomplish their dreams. Working with youth brings Jennifer joy, and she hopes to make a difference in every one of her students' lives.
