Children & Youth Classes

Place des Arts' caring and highly skilled teachers make dance fun and challenging. We offer dance classes for children and teens in ballet, acrobatic dance, jazz dance, hip-hop, tap dance, lyrical dance, song & dance and contemporary dance, from recreational to competition levels.

Private and group classes, master classes and a multitude of dance festivals and shows provide our dancers with exceptional training and performance opportunities.

Dance classes take place at Place des Arts and off site in satellite studios at the Evergreen Cultural Centre, 1205 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam.

Registration for all dance classes, including those held at the Evergreen Cultural Centre, must be done through Place des Arts.

September - June dance class information

These dance classes begin in September and run until June. Late registration is accepted at the discretion of the teacher and where space is available. As there are many technical elements to learn, a student will usually spend more than one year in each level. Placement is based on teacher recommendation.

Fall, winter, spring session dance class information

Dance classes that run during the fall, winter and spring sessions introduce beginners to dance while preparing them for entry into the September - June program.
