Place des Arts’ Summer Teen Theatre Troupe presents a wild, fun-filled adaptation of Shakespeare’s most famous comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream! Lively music and audience participation make this show a theatrical treat for all ages. Admission is free!

Originally from Ontario, Alex is a recent graduate from Vancouver’s Studio 58 theatre program where he focused on directing and designing theatre. Alex has worked with companies such as The National Arts Centre, The Great Canadian Theatre Company, Caravan Farm Theatre and Ruby Slippers Theatre. Alex is the recipient of the Gertrude Langridge Theatre Arts Scholarship.
Production/Costume Designer: Hannah Case
Hannah is a recent graduate from Studio 58's production program. She has been working as a costume designer since 2011, and has recently started to explore other avenues of production design. Working on Shakespeare with a team of passionate and talented colleagues and friends is an honour and a joy.
Maraya is so excited to be a part of this project! This is her first role after graduating from Riverside this year, and she is so grateful for this opportunity. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Jimmy is very excited to perform in his first production outside of high school! He has been in previous productions such as Anything Goes, Rock of Ages and Concord Floral. He hopes to inspire young audience members to venture outside of their comfort zone and potentially make their entrances into the performing arts.
Aysia is a young and aspiring actress. She has been involved in various shows including, Rock of Ages the Musical and a production of The Odyssey. She is committed to the art of performing and has dedicated a lot of time and effort to her love for acting. She is confident and outgoing and is eager to please an audience, which she hopes to do for this production.
Owen is a Tri-cities based artist, mentored by the great one herself Nicole "Coco" Roberge and a Shakespeare enthusiast since he was young. His favourite pastime outside of acting, well it has to be cracking open a cold one with the boys.
Emily is very excited to be a part of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Her past experiences in theater include rolls in Guys and Dolls, Legally Blonde and Silver's Secret. Emily is going into grade 11 at Riverside Secondary in the fall. She would like to thank her parents, friends and acting teachers for their continuous support, and for always encouraging and inspiring her.
Megan is excited to be spending her summer performing this play with such talented people. She has taken drama and musical theatre classes in her high school. Megan has previously been in several school shows including Rock of Ages this past year and cannot wait to grow as an actress in many more shows, including this one.
Laurel currently attends high school in Vancouver, and has just finished up her Grade 10 year. Throughout the process of this year alone, she has done a wide range of acting projects including for Theater and TV/Film. Some plays she has taken part in include: Home (RHYTAG), Grease, American Beauty and Small Actors. Laurel’s favourite acting moments are those in which she gets to learn. This year she took classes with Bard on the Beach and performed an adaptation of King Henry IV.
Meg is a young, aspiring actress from Port Coquitlam, with experience in theatre, music and dance. She has been a part of several other theatre productions such as Rock of Ages, Anything Goes, He Said She Said and The Odyssey. Theatre has become her passion over the past year, and she can't wait to share that passion once more in this production!
